How to Play a Used Ball Well

A number of pro shops offer used golf balls at a fraction of a price depending on the quality. Using pre-owned golf balls is nothing to be ashamed of, in fact, there are a high number of golfers who prefer playing with used golf balls or wholesale golf clubs. Not only that they come in cheap, there are high quality ones that are being sold at half the price. Other than that, these balls are manufactured in such a way that their performance would be the same every time you use it. So, there is really no difference if you would use a new one or not.

Take for example the Nike One black series. This particular line is offered at around $49.95 a dozen but if you would purchase it at an online store that offers high quality used golf balls. The same Nike One black series, is offered for only $24.00 a dozen in their top of the line reclaimed ball category. However, the best way to buy pre-owned balls are to hand pick them one by one; inspecting for any bulges, discoloration, and scratches. Pre-used golf balls are sold accordingly to the different grades. The grades are pre-determined by their luster, color, mark, and scuffs. These balls suits budget conscious and inexperienced golfers alike.
The first among the four would be the Pearls. These are reclaimed balls in superb condition.

Second would be the Grade A golf balls. These are nearly perfect balls with just light and minimal scratches in it, the logo or print might be a little scratched off but still readable. The quality of these balls is just below the Pearls in color and luster. Grade A balls are normally sold at only quarter of the price.

Third type would be the Grade B balls or the slightly flawed golf balls. The color and the logo are already faded; scratches and other marks are more visible with the glossy finish slightly rubbed off. These are normally used golf drivers for practices and for handicapped games. For budget conscious and starters, Grade C balls are good for practices. With its color washed out and other blemishes, you wouldn't regret losing it in one of your high risk strikes or even in practices.

Of course, aside from knowing what kind of golf balls to buy, you should know where to buy. Other than pro shops, garage sales usually offer them by the bucket. However, just like golf balls, there are online stores that offer golf balls according to category.

Top 7 Questions to Discount Green Fees(2)

4. Do You Get Discounts for the entire golf season? Know how long the season is for the discount golf green fees. Is it a short time from mid-June to August 31? Do you have to play before May or after September? The best discount green fees cards will allow you to get savings all year round for as long as the golf course is open. Don't buy a golf card that has seasonal playing restrictions.

5. Can you avoid cow pastures, the "Turtle Greens" golf networks? I learned to play golf as a teenager in Wisconsin. My father took us to Turtle Greens, built by farmer on the outskirts of his farm. The clubhouse was a barn; the fairways were like cow pastures; the greens were shabby like a mowed back yard. Of course, we were real hackers and kids at the time. Make sure that the golf courses in your membership directory are a decent mix of very good courses, medium courses and "practice" courses. That way you can select the ones you want for a particular round. Some days, you may want to play a challenging forest course. Other times, you just want to play a simple course to get some exercise.

6. How reputable is the vendor's performance and longevity? Is this program new? How long has it been around? How many members has it served? How many belong now? Does it offer a money-back guarantee? These are important questions to ask, especially with on-line services. Anyone can put up a website. Take care to do due diligence and check out the vendor before you spend your hard earned money. And make sure that they have a money-back guarantee if you are unsatisfied for any reason. Now that you have these questions about discount green fees programs, all you need to do is find one that helps you save money and get out on the links for less.

7. Can you learn the pluses and minuses of the golf courses for wholesale golf clubs in the network - before you buy? If the online golf card membership program allows you to search, it should also give you the details of what you get. Different golf courses offer different discounts. Is the discount network allow you to play only on weekdays? Does the discount golf drivers apply to weekends? Is your play restricted to a certain time of day, like before 7:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m.?

When many golf courses belong to the network, there will be many different variations. Just make sure that there is enough variety to fit your best times to tee it up. Take tee times for instance.

Top 7 Questions to Discount Green Fees(1)

If golf is one of your life's passions, you know how costly it is to play twice or more a week. Add up $65 for greens fees + $25 for a cart, twice a week for 23 weeks and you spend will more than $3,500 a year to tee it up on golf courses. Your golf score may probably improve, but bank account probably won't! Many discount golf programs promise that you can "Play more golf and pay less."

There are many wholesale golf clubs from golf course greens fee arrangements. Some are on-line; some are printed coupon books. Some work very effectively, where you can double your money or cut your fees in half. Some are real duds.

To become a savvy buyer that your golf buddies and friends look up to. Use this 7 question checklist to figure out whether buying an on-line membership golf card is worth it.

1. How easily can you find a golf course? The program should make it easy to find a course. I have purchased a number of state golf discount coupon books. A paper coupon book allows you to look in the index to find where the golf courses are listed. Before you buy these in a golf store, you can look through the book to see if your favorite courses are listed. If you subscribe to an online discount golf card program, make sure you can search the golf course directory. It helps to search by zip code, state, city, distance to the golf course and even golf course name. If the search function is missing or limited, don't buy that membership.

2. How many courses belong to the discount golf drivers course network? Is it 10? 50? 150? 3,000? The more courses the better. Why? Because if 100,000 people buy the membership and there are only one hundred courses, you'll get stuck trying to get a good tee time.

3. Do you have to travel to Montana to play golf? Does this program offer local courses for just one state, like Wisconsin or New Mexico? Is the network nationwide? Do you have to drive to the middle of Montana to find a course? With the cost of gasoline and driving these days, are there enough golf course within a 50 mile radius of your home? If you vacation in Peoria, do those golf courses belong to the network?

How To Save Money On Golf Clubs

Spring is here, the weather is warming up, and soon golfers are going to begin flocking to the courses in big numbers. Golf has become such a huge sport, not just in the United States but world wide. There are a lot great players in the world, but we can thank mostly Tiger Woods for the increasing popularity. The increase in popularity is great for the sport, but it also driving up cost for golfers. It's simple economics of supply and demand. Each year the equipment, training materials, and green fees continue to go up.

Each year when I begin golfing again as the weather warms up, I head out to a few of my local public courses and sure enough rates had gone up again. It's usually only a dollar or two, but still it gets frustrating year after year. You can almost count on it each year just like paying your taxes this time of year.

There are ways to save money on green fees however.
You can call around to your local courses and ask them if they have any special promotional deals that particular month. Every once in a while you can find a buy one round get the 2nd round for 1/2 price. Or if you buy something in the pro shop they will throw in a free round of golf drivers. Another way is to register on your favorite golf courses website for their news letters. Often these newsletters will have specials each month. Usually some kind of discount or buy one round get another round free in the same week or something ot that effect. The best way I have found to save money is to get a discount golf card. You can usually buy a card for each course but that gets a little expensive and may not save you money in the long run. But if you play the same course every time, then this might make sense for you.

The good ones I've seen have discounted or even free green fees at thousands of courses nationwide and in Canada. You can get these wholesale golf clubs online buy doing a simple Google search. They usually are pretty inexpensive and can be found for not much more than a round of golf with a cart.

The Review of Whole G15 Range (3)

Ping G15 Hybrid
I've never really caught the hybrid bug, preferring instead to persevere with the long irons in my set rather than splashing out on another club that will do the same job.

This is probably down to my stereotypical Yorkshire mentality, but I must say that I've never hit a 3-iron as well I hit the G15 Hybrid.

Whereas I've never felt confident stood over a 3-iron, always anticipating a weak strike that will fade to the right, standing with the G15 in my hands those thoughts are immediately eliminated.

On address the sleek, simple design is pleasing to the eye and front section of the club could give the impression that you are stood over a traditional iron but it is what is going on behind the face that provides the confidence.

The simple, black rear section gives the impression that what lies within is enough weight to get you through the ball.

With the mid- to high-handicapper in mind the club felt solid on impact, something I could never imagine possible with the equivalent 3-iron, and it was easy get the ball airborne with not a hint of a weak fade.

Matt was also impressed with the extra shot options the G15 hybrid offered around the course.

Twice he found himself in thick, yet dry rough and was wary of getting his irons caught in the grass.

He took the hybrid and the club swept through the fescue, making solid contact with the ball, shooting it a good distance up the fairway.

The club also offers possibilities around the green, but that might an option for the more creative players!

The G15 Hybrid could well find a place in my bag very soon, now what to do with my 3-Iron.

With the G15's, Ping have produced another range of wholesale golf clubs that the mid- to high-handicapper will relish. Throughout the range the clubs inspire confidence at address and the consistent and forgiving results can only enhance this.

All you have to do is hit the ball, and with Ping's recommended custom-fitting options there can be no excuses not to improve your game. The golf irons are simple to use, easy to get airborne and the unfussy designs and classy red and black colour scheme remove any unwanted complications from the thought process.

The Review of Whole G15 Range (2)

Ping G15 Irons
The new G15 irons from Ping have been designed with the game improver in mind.

Like the Rapture V2's, they offer maximum forgiveness but are a subtler proposition aesthetically.

Released to supersede the G10 range they feature a wide sole which enables them to sit comfortably behind the ball and a large offset which positions the hands forwards.

This provides those who may have trouble getting the ball airborne with a confident feeling that this can be achieved and this indeed proved to be the case.

There was consistent feel throughout the irons and those shots that came out of the toe (due to a dodgy swing!) still managed to make their way airborne and carry over a forgiving distance.

One pleasant surprise was that during the backswing the club head felt weighted in such a way that I was aware of its position and so found it easier to control my current golfing curse, the over-swing.

Ping have released another winner, one that the mid- to high-handicapper will love, and although there are never any guarantees that a new set of golf irons will reduce your handicap I believe that these clubs will provide you with a very good chance of doing so.

Ping G15 Fairway Wood

The G15 is a little different to your normal fairway wood in that it features a lower profile and larger head than you may be used to, elongated from front to back, but it is this that the mid- to high-handicapper may benefit from psychologically.

The club is easy to position behind the ball and with its rear weighting I felt able to power my way solidly through the ball.

A couple of other pleasing aspects were the trajectory of flight and the distance.

Although I was using a 4-wood I was easily able to achieve, if not exceed on occasions, the distance normally achieved with my 3-wood.

This was another club that had Matt purring - this time after he launched a shot to the back of a par-three green with an impressive draw-shape.

Matt prefers fairway woods to long irons and was sold on the G15 golf drivers- it felt great in his hands, was a joy to swing and had a pleasingly high trajectory.

Simple to use from both tee and fairway, Ping have produced another club that makes the game easier for the mere mortal. And you can buy cheap ones from some wholesale golf clubs stores.

The Review of Whole G15 Range(1)

To celebrate their 50th anniversary Ping has introduced what it calls "our most comprehensive product launch in history."

The G15 Series appeals to the majority of golfers who rely on the easier-to-hit attributes of a maximum forgiveness, higher launch type of club.

Okay, over to Paul for a review of how he and Matt Cooper got on with the whole G15 range(wholesale golf clubs).

Ping G15 Driver

As is the norm these days, the G15 Driver features the maximum 460CC head but on address is doesn't feel as though you have to summon up all your strength to swing a monster.

The club features a large face but the head still manages to look sleek in design with a simple to use alignment aid.

So, the club looks great, it's easy to align and swing but what happens when you hit the ball?

Will this great design be ruined by an unholy noise that will have the rest of the driving range looking at you accusingly, holding their ears in mock pain?

Thankfully not, instead there is a satisfying 'ting' and the ball is sent on a very pleasing trajectory further than I've ever hit my current driver.

Rather than this being a one-off fluke, results were consistent and off-centre hits were more forgiving than I'm unaccustomed to.

A self-confessed short-hitter, Matt was looking to see if he could add some crucial yards to his drives with the G15 and was pleased to find himself hitting shorter irons into par-fours than he is used to.

Like me, he appreciated the fact that you feel no need to take a wild swipe at the ball - the club is as big as all modern drivers(such as callway ft-iz driver) are, but the design is smart enough to give every impression of smooth control.

Ping has surely produced another market leader with golf drivers.

Some Golf Equipments You Cannot Live Without

Golf equipment need not be highly expensive and you can buy it from specialized stores or order it online. There are literally thousands of golf accessories and gadgets from wholesale golf clubs that can be purchased for both the game and pleasure. Some items are totally unnecessary, yet others are vital to the game. This article will just be a small down payment on this subject.

The Ball Obviously
You cannot play golf without one. Believe it or not, there are dozens of manufacturers and companies that sell hundreds of different types of golf balls, like taylormade golf clubs. For those of you new to the game, the fact that there are so many different types of golf balls is probably a bit surprising and confusing. The standard size for a golf ball must be 1.62'' in diameter and have a maximum weight of 1.68 oz. And for any particular ball to be used in a professional game, it must be approved by the United States Golf Association (USGA). Obviously, if you are not involved in tournaments or professional games then you may use any ball you wish on the field. But the rules are so strict for golf tournaments that if a player was found using a ball that was not approved by the USGA, he or she would be immediately disqualified. However, most balls sold by major manufacturers at sporting supply stores are typically USGA approved.

Divot-Repair Tool
A divot-repair tool is a device that will help you repair any dents created in the green. The green is a very tidy and well maintained area where the whole is located at. And many swings will chop a small section of it away, which should be replaced by the player using a divot tool.

Tees & Divot-Repair Tool
Besides golf balls being an obvious requirement to play the game, there are two other items that should always be a part of your time on the course: A bag of tees and a divot-repair tool. The Tee On the very first shot of each hole, you are allowed to place the golf ball on top of a tee. This tee is simply a wooden peg that is elevated once it is stuck in the ground. The top surface of the tee is flat so that the golf ball is placed securely on it, ready for a clean swing. Tees are very cheap and come in packages of twenty or thirty, for just a few dollars.

How to Use A Golf Driving Range Effectively

A golf driving range is a large open area such as a grass covered field, with a line of hitting platforms arranged along one edge of the field. These individual hitting platforms will often include a tee for hitting golf drives into the field.

The driving range is where you should be spending most of your time when just starting out with the game of golf. It offers you the opportunity to learn the distance at which each of your wholesale golf clubs can hit. It teaches you to focus on a target. It helps you to make contact with the ball every time you swing. Practicing Your Short Game Many golf ranges also offer an opportunity to improve your short game skills.

Some of these facilities offer one or two green areas that are set aside for men and women to practice their shots which require shorter distances. A big mistake is made by many beginner golfers. They spend an enormous amount of time hitting the long shots, yet never develop their short game skills. An appropriate strategy would be to split your time, perhaps one day at the standard range and the next at the short game area. Most private clubs and high end golf courses offer access to a driving range that has natural grass.

The reason why real grass is preferred over turf is simply because it mimics the exact conditions you will play in during a real game of golf at the local course. Some beginners may not be ready to handle such a quality service due to their inability to control their swing. It is good etiquette to take care of the grass as best possible. For example, when taking nice shots with golf irons, you will almost always create a divot, which is simply a large chunk of grass cut out from your swing.

Try to hit every ball as close to where you hit the last ball. Doing so will reduce the areas of divots created to just one spot in particular. It is inevitable that the grass to be damaged, and the facility management understands this, but your job is to minimize this damage as much as you can.

Improving Golf Swing

It is very hard to hear an athlete who does not work his or her body to prepare for a good performance. Some of the quickest ways through which to improve the player's golf swing speed and power is to do weight training exercise. Rapid results will only be accomplished through the combination of golf strength in the lower body as well as the upper body. The lunge with a twist is one such golf exercise(such as wholesale golf clubs) that proves to be effective. It combines the power on the lower body with the movement that is needed to achieve a commendable speed and distance in golf swing.

In this exercise, the player assumes he or she is standing in a position whereby the arms are straight and are hanging down in front of the body. As the player moves forward, they are supposed to rotate their upper body to the same side while holding the medicine ball or even a drum bell. The ball should be held high all the time.

The first step in the exercise is to sit upright in a chair either in the office or at home with the chest held high and the back held straight. The second step requires one to reach behind him or her with the left arm, which ensures that the upper body is rotated. The golfer should the leverage on the right arm against the left leg creating some sort of a torque.

The third step is to return to the starting position and then do the opposite leg. The fourth step requires the player to repeat each side ten times for three sets. The player is advised to maintain consistency in these movements and they will eventually see their golf swing increase with time. The other to improving golf swing is doing regular exercise and back stretches. Since much of golf drivers swing involves the back, a likelihood of back pains after much golf playing is inevitable. The backstretches help those golfers who would like to avoid the possibility of back pain or injury.

Finally, the golfer should switch the arms rotating them the opposite way and then and then repeat it severally. A golfer should however consult a physician before embarking on such exercises to avoid damage to the spinal cord or any other harm to the body.

Dressing for Golf

It is generally accepted that a golfer should have a nice appearance on public golf courses; and at private golf courses, following a dress code may actually be required. A man once said, "A round of golf is no day at the beach, so you shouldn't dress like it is." The message seems clear, and here are a few things to consider when dressing for golf.

Footwear - Although casual shoes are acceptable, they are not very functional on a golf course. A golfer should choose a pair of golf shoes that are manufactured with soft spikes on the soles to improve footing on the ground. Today, golfers can choose between classic wingtip of saddle shoes, casual or tennis-style golf shoes, or even golf sandals. Golfers should always wear cotton socks, and may want to keep an extra pair inside his or her golf bag.

Pants - A pair of slacks, khakis or cotton blend pants are generally accepted. Only a select few private courses do not allow golfers to wear shorts on the course, so a pair of Bermuda or walking shorts with pockets should be worn. Wearing blue jeans on a golf course is generally considered "bad form". Some players may choose to wear a classic style of knee-length knickers, but most golfers try not to make a spectacle of themselves with unusual clothing or with bold color designs. Shirts - A cotton or wool-blend golf shirt is chosen by most golfers, and they can be long- or short-sleeved, depending on the weather. Golf shirts offer the golfer a sense of style and comfort when playing. As I known, many wholesale golf clubs stores also provide dicount golf accessories, including golf shirts.

Headwear - Most forms of headwear are acceptable on a golf course as long as they are not a distraction. Many golfers choose to wear a baseball style cap, a visor or a straw hat. In addition to style, a hat can protect the golfer's head from being directly under the sun for four to five hours.

Accessories - A golfer may want to keep a rain suit in his or her golf bag for rainy days. A golfer should also wear a golf glove on the swing hand to prevent blisters and improve grip throughout the round.

Swing Myths for Your Golf Game (2)

Keep your left heel down

Not everyone is as flexible as Tiger Woods. Nobody is as flexible as he is! If you aren't flexible enough and you attempt to keep your left heel grounded as you swing, you're likely priming yourself for a reverse pivot. Instead, by allowing your left heel to raise, the body can shift its weight back and forward much more effectively.

Tuck your right elbow

If you tuck your right elbow too much, here's what will happen. First, your swing will likely be too flat at the top of your swing. If you stay tucked, your arms won't be able to swing freely down and through, meaning your body will have to compensate and either cause you to overrotate or come over the top of the ball (as I'm showing here). And in case you didn't know, coming over the top (from outside the target line to inside the target line) is never a good idea, as it produces all sorts of duffs, hooks and slices.

In this sequence, I'm doing the same thing. By letting my elbow drift up and away from my side as I initiate my downswing, it becomes a lot easier to keep my club perfectly on plane. And check out my impact position in both swings. My body is much more rotated here and in a much more athletic position.

In sports, where precise positioning is required, more often than not, the best way to accomplish your goal is to have the mind and eyes fixated on the target. Baseball players need to the see the baseball, primarily because it's moving at great speeds. They also don't have to fear hitting it too far, meaning they can swing at full throttle every time and not worry about a lengthy comebacker for par. Putting, like shooting a basketball, requires a deft touch that's best executed with help from the eyes. So selecting good golf drivers is important.

Now, back to my point. By keeping your head down, you stifle the body's ability to rock the shoulders through the stroke, invariably causing the hands and arms to collapse before, during or even after impact.

Swing Myths for Your Golf Game(1)

I'm willing to bet you've already heard of a few of these, which is why I'm presenting not only the myth but also the fix. Read on and get ready to eliminate swing myths from your golf game and get your game back on track.

Let your head move

Here's the right way to do it. See how more of my face is visible under my hat? My head is up, and my neck is in line with the rest of my spine. This enables me to rotate without my head getting in the way. Also, by keeping my head up (and my eyes on the ball, of course), I retain my spine angle better than I do with my head tucked down. Look at the difference in body rotation, arm extension and weight shift. All three factors are directly attributed to keeping my head out of the way.

Keep your head down

Who hasn't heard of this one? Keeping your head down at any point during the golf swing is the last thing you want to do. By keeping your head down (see photo to the left), you stifle your upper body's ability to rotate. A hindered rotation means my hands will get flippy; my weight will either shift too little, too late or not at all; and furthermore, any chance of solid impact will lessen significantly.

In addition to hurting my ability to hit solid shots, keeping your head down can actually hurt you, physically. It puts a tremendous amount of stress on your neck.

Keep your left arm straight

A straight, rigid left arm not only can cause you to have a reverse pivot, but also can have the opposite affect on your right arm at impact. In the small photo below, notice what happens if you have too much strain in your left arm at the top—you'll lose your ability to shift your weight properly, and in doing so, the right arm will straighten too soon on the downswing. So, if the left arm is too rigid, the right arm will do the same through the impact zone. With golf irons
or drivers, you can get more deep exercise.

Let it bend

Hey, if you can keep your left arm straight without strain, go for it. It will add power. But if you can't, it's perfectly acceptable to allow for some bend in the elbow. By allowing the elbow to flex, the body will rotate more, and the release through the downswing will be much more fluid. In the photo below, I've lessened the tension and strain in my arms, which then allowed my body to rotate much more than it did with a rigid left arm.

Lower Scores with a GPS Rangefinder

Recently, Golf GPS Rangefinders have more grown in popularity. Once golfers began to realize their value and effectiveness for their overall game, the device has become a staple for most serious golfers. One day, them will bacame popular as golf drivers or golf irons. There are many reasons to carry a golf GPS rangefinder. Let's have a look.

First, we're all for speeding up play and that's exactly what golf rangefinders do. One of the most frustrating and agonizing things on earth is to get behind a slow foursome on a Saturday afternoon. Instead of a 4 hour round, it turns into 5 or even 6 hours! With a rangefinder, golfers no longer need to analyze the things they once did.

One of the first things golfers do when they drive or walk down the fairway after a beautifully hit drive is begin looking for yardage markers to prepare for the next shot. A golf GPS rangefinder would eliminate the guess work needed to determine yardages. You would simply drive or walk to your shot, take a mark on the target to get the exact yardage and hit the shot with confidence. No more searching for yardage markers! This in itself is worth the price of a golf rangefinder. Saving a bit of frustration from slow play is probably worth at least a few strokes a round.

Next, identifying hazards between you and your target provides a huge advantage. How many times have you played a new course and come across hazards that you well... didn't realize existed? Probably more than you want to admit. Well, with a golf GPS rangefinder in hand, the hazards are clearly identified for you to avoid. So instead of hitting your 7 iron played with a bit of roll, you would use your 6 iron to carry that creek not visible on the card. You just saved yourself 2 or 3 strokes right there!

The last one is my personal favorite. Finding out the exact yardage to my target is just plain cool. Think about it. If you knew the exact yardage to your target for every shot you hit on a golf course, imagine the improvement you would see. Think of how many shots you would save every round by knowing the exact iron to hit for every approach shot, instead of guessing within 10, 15, or 20 yards!

Golf GPS Rangefinders may not be in every golfers bag yet. But, my bet is that you will eventually see most every golfer begin using them. So now, golfwholesaleseller offer wholesale golf clubs for you, which include GPS Rangefinders.

Save Money on Golf Equipment

Golfers can save money on golf and still play their beloved game.

Too many of us end up paying full retail price for clubs at a pro shop when great deals on the same equipment are available online. Or we cheerfully pay the posted greens fee when with a little Internet research we can find discounts as much as 50% to play at terrific courses all over the world, for examples, wholesale golf clubs can save you a lot. Then there's the double mistake we make on a golf vacation: first we overpay for the hotel room and then compound the error by paying too much for golf.

A vast universe of savings for golfers is right there at our desktop computer. All we have to do is know how and where to look. Besides opening our eyes to savings, we can become much more educated golfing consumers. We can discover discount travel packages to some of the top golfing resort areas in the world, including South Carolina, Florida or Arizona. It is definitely possible to play the courses you've always dreamed up and not have to take a second mortgage out on your house. And you don't have to limit ourselves to golf in the United States. On the Internet we can learn, for example, that it's possible to book a golfing cruise? Yes, you can golf on your Caribbean vacation! Or how about visiting great courses in Spain or the Mediterranean and still staying within budget. You can.

There are so many choices to save money on equipment that it's almost mind boggling. Besides discount retailers of brand name clubs, you can buy direct-from-the-manufacturer "clone" clubs that are nearly the same quality as the famous name clubs for a fraction of the price, including golf irons, golf drivers, etc.. You can visit auction sites and name your own price for the equipment you want to buy. You can sell your old clubs online and turn around and bid on new ones! It's even possible to have demo clubs delivered directly to your door, try them for 5 days and decide if you want to make a purchase. If you don't, just send the demo clubs back with no further obligation.

With the Internet as our ally,we can spend less, play more rounds of golf and have more fun.

Some Ways to Improve Your Short Game

Even though its common knowledge having a good short game equates to low scores, many golfers carry only 1 or 2 wedges in their bag - this includes a pitching wedge which comes standard in most golf sets. Unless you are adept at controlling distances by varying your swing, limiting your wedge selection is significantly reducing your ability to score well. The margin of error increases as you get closer to the pin. In most cases, being able to take a full swing is more desirable for distance control. Do you have the necessary wedge selection in your bag?

How many times have you hit a nice drive to set yourself up for a chance at par or even birdie only to end up scrambling to make bogey or worse after hitting an awkward distance 3/4 shot with a pitching wedge? Unfortunately, this is very common. You can significantly improve your chances of pulling off these shots by filling those yardage gaps with numerous wedges. In order to have a club for most distances inside 100 yards for example, you should be carrying a pitching wedge, gap or approach wedge, sand wedge and even a lob wedge in your bag. Having a full arsenal of wedges to choose from will allow you to take that full swing and improve your chances for better scoring.

What type of wedges should you carry? A very common method of determining loft is to simply add 4 or 5 degrees starting with your pitching wedge and ending with a sand or lob wedge. For example, a good range of wedge lofts may be 46, 50, 54 and 58 degrees. Therefore if your pitching wedge has 46 degrees of loft, you would have 50 degree gap wedge, a 54 degree sand wedge and a 58 degree lob wedge.

There are many great wedges to choose from - Cleveland golf clubs, Titleist golf clubs, Callaway golf clubs, TaylorMade golf clubs and Ping golf clubs, are some of the more popular wedge manufacturers from wholesale golf clubs. Other very popular wedges come from Adams, Ben Hogan, Cobra, MacGregor, Mizuno, Nike, Olimar, Pure Spin, Solus and Wilson.

Finally, wish this guide will provide a good opportunity to shore up your wedge selection and shave strokes inside the scoring zone.

How to Find the Best Golf Shaft for Your Game

Unfortunately, you don't see the attention given to shafts as you do for golf drivers, golf irons, and other clubs. But why? The golf shaft is one of the most underrated pieces of golf equipment in your bag. Yet the educated golfer truly understands that having the right shafts in his clubs means better performance.

Finding the best shaft for your game is not difficult and the payoff is huge -- desirable trajectory, more distance and better control to name a few benefits. In essence using the best golf shaft for your game means playing better golf.

The shaft is the only thing between the club head and your hands that oh by the way, plays a huge role in the outcome of your ball trajectory, control, and distance. But just as the selection of a driver or irons for your game affects performance, selecting the right or wrong golf shaft will give similar results. The golf shaft needs to be tailored to your swing to fully benefit. So a golf shaft is important for golfers.

Since golf shafts vary from one player profile to the next, we can make best shaft generalizations based on market share and general feedback.

The more popular driver shafts include Aldila, Fujikura, Mitsubishi and UST. There are others, but these four make up a majority of market share in the driver shaft category. And there are other wholesale golf clubs stores online.

Aldila has a number of shafts to choose from including NV, NVS, DVS, VS and the new Voodoo. Fujikura also has a number of very popular shafts that include the Speeder, Rombax Series and ZCOM Six. Mitsubishi is another top choice, especially amongst the tour players, that include the very popular Diamana shaft. Mitsubishi also offers the Javln, Bassara, and their new highly sought after Fubuki shaft. And lastly, UST offer the ever popular Pro Force V2.

Iron shafts can be either steel of graphite, with steel being the more popular of the two among better players. Project X is the most popular Rifle shaft, a top choice amongst PGA tour players.

Each shaft maker will offer multiple designs within each model so that most every golfer will fit into their shaft of choice.

In general, please place key points on your golf shafts.Having the best shafts in your clubs, designed specifically for your swing, will pay huge dividends for your game.

Golf Tips for Speeding Drills and Swinging

If you have a relatively solid swing and you can improve your club head speed, you will get more distance to your shots. The importance of adding speed to an already mature golf swing should seem obvious.
Weighted club
Use a weighted club to build swing speed. A 3-pound weighted club will build strength in your wrists and hands and that's what you need to build club head speed at impact. Try swinging the weighted club for five mintues at a time. First the back swing, then the downswing and then the follow through. Eventually, try swinging the club fully in one motion.
Keep your right knee solid
You don't want to give any of your power away by moving your right knee. When you address the ball, you want both knees flexed to put you in an athletic position. However, you don't want to lose power by shifting your right leg around. Keep your right knee solid so you can launch into the ball at full speed.
Building core strength
One of the best ways to build more speed in your swing is by building core strength. Sit on an exercise ball and do curls with a 5-pound dumbbell. Find the balance point on the ball and alternate curls with your right and left arms. Do 10 with each arm, take a 30-second break and repeat the set.
