Brittany Lincicome may play in a men's competition next week as part of her preparations for the LPGA Tour season.
The long-hitting Lincicome, a three-time winner on the LPGA Tour, has entered the NGA Hooters Tour's Bridgestone Winter Series event at Deer Island Golf Club.
Lincicome will be the first current LPGA Tour golfer to play in a Winter Series tournament.
"(The LPGA Tour) finished in December, and I have to keep playing to get ready for next season," Lincicome said Friday. "This will be my seventh year on the LPGA Tour and I still get stressed when I tee off (in the LPGA season-opening event) in Thailand. This tournament is close to home and has a lot of battle in it. I think it's a great way for me to get some of the nerves out before our season starts off."
Brittany Grace Lincicome (born September 19, 1985) is an American professional golf player playing on the LPGA Tour. She currently resides in Seminole, Florida.
Lincicome is one of the longest drivers in women's golf. In her novice year, 2005, she led the LPGA in driving distance with an average of 270.3 yards (247.2 m). In 2006, her driving average increased to 278.6 yards (254.8 m), second among all LPGA golfers.

Get Properly Set
I often enjoy sitting outside on the veranda with a relaxing drink during warm weather, and observe players take their address positions on the first tee.
I see some with feet wide apart bent over from the waist with knees locked solid. I observe others again with too wide a stance and with arms outstretched leaving a gap of a few feet between hands and thigh. Some I notice having their feet pointing far to the left of target and some pointing far in the opposite direction.
The problem I see often is not how they stand up to the ball but most importantly is how they aim their body in relation to the target. Now I do fully understand the needs and necessity of some club golfers with some physical problems having to adopt their stance to suit their needs, but on the whole I believe the biggest fault of all miss hit shots to the target has to be the way the body is aligned at address.
If your shots are going repeatedly to the left of target, or conversely going to the right, then the problem is with your grip. If your grip is too strong then you will have your hands too far to the right on the club which causes a hook and if they are too weak then your hands are set too far to the left causing the ball to slice.
Adopt a neutral grip with the back of the left hand facing the target. If your shots are going straight to the target then that problem is solved. If not then there is a problem with your ball position. If your ball is hooking to the left then it could be that your ball lying to far forward in your stance.
Move it back an inch and try again and should the problem persist then move it back another inch until it straightens out. Conversely, if you're slicing the ball it may be too far back in your stance so again move it forward in inch at a time until you've corrected the problem.
How far should you be standing from the ball? Simply stand up straight with your arms extended whilst gripping your club in a neutral position. Now bend from the hips until the club head touches the ground then lightly bend your knees and relax the arms.
The width of your stance depends entirely on how you walk. Step out a few paces then stop and observe the width of your feet, and also take note on the position of your toes. If your toes are pointing slightly outwards, or pointing inwards then this is your natural stance.

Lee Leads for the First Time

Xmas Comes Early
It proved to be instant success for Druh Belts & Buckles as Sweden's Karlberg was sporting a prototype of Druh's new striped buckle for the first time on the fairways after acquiring the latest Druh buckle design at the Hong Kong Open just two weeks ago.
It was a grandstand finish in the US$1.25 million event on Sunday by Karlberg, who birdied the final two holes to close with a two-under-par 70 to secure his second Asian Tour title. The 24-year-old, who is on his rookie year on the Asian Tour, recorded his first victory earlier in the year at the SAIL Open, also played at the Delhi Golf Club.
"This is my biggest win and it feels just amazing," said Karlberg, who signed off for a four round total of 277, 11-under-par, for the week to win almost US $200,000 in prize money.
Regarded on tour as a snappy dresser like many of his fellow Swedes, Karlberg is one of just four golfers from a long list of Asian Tour players who have been chosen for their fashion sense on the fairways to compete for the title of 'Best Dressed Golfer on the Asian Tour' for 2010.
Other Druh champions in 2010 include Denmark's Thomas Bjorn won the Golf Estoril Open de Portugal in June, Sophie Gustafson secured the Ladies Irish Open in August, England's Gary Wolstenholme recorded a wire-to-wire victory in September at the Casa Serena Open and South Korean Jimin Kang took the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia title in October.
