Danish brand ECCO, supplier of the worlds most comfortable, technically-advanced shoes, announces the signing of defending U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell, who will showcase the brands logo on his cap and compete in the newly-launched Comfort Classic golf shoes.
As portion of this multi-year agreement, McDowell, who is presently No. 5 in the Official World Golf Ranking, will be featured in global marketing and advertising initiatives supporting the ECCO Golf Collection, and appear at company functions.
McDowell made history in 2010 when he became the first European in 40 years to win the U.S. Open Championship. The 31 year old native of Northern Ireland as well guaranteed the winning point for the European Ryder Cup team, and got titles at the Chevron World Challenge, Celtic Manor Wales Open and Andalucia Valderrama Masters.
ECCO golf shoes are in addition worn in contest by scores of international Tour stars, including Fred Couples, Stuart Appleby, Thongchai Jaidee, Thomas Bjorn, Aaron Baddeley, Bradley Dredge, Thorbjorn Olesen, Jennifer Johnson and many others.
