Suggestions to look for the best golf glasses

Ultraviolet Protection: They should provide 100% of ultraviolet radiation protection

Lens Color: A lens that absorbs blue light will help to read greens better and follow the golf ball in flight. Brown or amber lenses can increase contrast. Or, some people prefer more natural vision and lenses that do not distort. For those, a neutral gray or G-15 green gray lens provides true color perception.

Frame Designs: As golf players go to golf swing, their head turns slightly, and the bottom edge of the frame of their regular pair of sunglasses interferes with the direct gaze of the ball. Glasses without a frame on the bottom prevent interference with the line of sight. Oversized frames in addition help, as the gaze does not really cross the frame border.

Frame Fit: Improperly fit glasses may slide off the nose and distract the player as he starts his swing by looking down. Frames with temples that might be adjusted to fit therefore that they do not slide down the nose are helpful.

Prescription Lenses: Most the game of golf glasses will be fit with prescription lens. A golf player who needs both distance and near corrections should consider special the game of golf lenses with a bifocal fit very low and temporally. The golf player may easily see the golf ball in the distance range without creating an uncomfortable head position, while at the same time, have the bifocal there to read and record on a score card. Stick-on bifocals are as well a popular option as they should be removed when not really needed.

Chowrasia gets a narrow victory in India

England's Robert Coles just neglected to earn his first European Tour victory as India's SSP Chowrasia held on for a narrow victory in the Avantha Masters in New Delhi.

Chowrasia secured a home victory as he edged out Coles by one shot in an fantastic finish, the Indian shooting a final round of 67 to end on 15 under par at the DLF Golf game and Country Club.

7 birdies in his first 14 holes had put Chowrasia in charge against third round leader Coles.

Chowrasia started out the round well and sank a 15-foot birdie putt at the fourth before turning in 32.

A 10-foot birdie putt at the 10th kept Chowrasia's good run going while he held most of the field at bay.

Coles was the only one who could live with his pace as his approach shot to the seventh span back into the hole for an eagle.

A winner in New Delhi in 2008 when he took his maiden European Tour success in the Indian Masters, Chowrasia had his first blip on the 16th.

He rushed his tee shot and pulled it left which finally caused a double bogey.

Pars on the final 2 holes saw Chowrasia set he clubhouse target at 15 under.

With four holes to go Coles was on the same mark and his approach to eight feet at the 15th looked to set him on course for a maiden European Tour win.

Coles failed to take that opportunity and an even easier one on the 17th and was made to pay the price on the last.

A perfect tee shot and a second into greenside rough put him in a good position however his chip from a downhill lie went 20 feet past the hole.

He over-hit the putt which could have landed him the tournament win and an eight foot return was in addition missed therefore the chance to force a play-off was gone too.

A closing 68 earned Gregory Havret third on 13 under which left him one shot up on first round pioneer Robert-Jan Derksen who shot a 69 for fourth.

Coles admitted to his disappointment after failing to take the chance to break his tournament duck.

Kim slides, yet holds Thai lead

In-Kyung Kim struggled to a one-over par 73 on Friday, however on the strength of her opening 63, still leads after 2 rounds of the LPGA Tour's season-opening Honda LPGA Thailand.

The US-based Korean got off to a shaky launch following her first-round heroics when she broke the course record, and after four birdies and 5 bogies, finished the second day 10 shots worse off than on the first with a halfway total of 8-under 136.

Kim, who has won only once after leading at halfway five times, this in the 2008 Longs Drug Championship, had a 3 shot lead on Thursday, but saw the lately crowned World No 1 Yani Tseng, who was tied for second with Juli Inkster on Thursday, edge close to be just one shot behind her after a "disappointing" five-birdie, two bogey and one double bogey 71 on Friday.

"I thought I was the only one who played lousy today, but I guess not. It was a tough the game of golf course and tough day out there. I think I still have lots of birdies." said Tseng, winner of the Women's Australian Open and Australian Ladies Masters in the last two weeks

"I just couldn't make a putt...had some three-putts...couldn't make my ball drop in the hole. I hung in there with the drama, though, up and down with birdies and bogeys and I'm still suitable up there in the hunt.".

Inkster's challenge fell away with a 73, however charging in to join Tseng in second place at the Siam Country Club on Friday was Hawaii-bred Korean-American Michelle Wie.

While Inskter was sliding back into joint 4th place on Friday, Wie a model of consistency as she returned a flawless four-birdie 68, was climbing into her tie for second from 6th place with a 7-under 137 with Tseng and giving a warning, both to Kim and to Tseng, that she means business in her first begin this year.

Wie who shared the day's best round with two others, Australia's Karrie Webb, who is at 2-under and Anna Nordqvist of Sweden, who is usually at 2-over, said: "It was a good day nevertheless I was hot. This weekend I have to play well, not make errors and hold the energy level up."

Paula Creamer is a further two adrift and three off the pace after a solid 70, while Na-Yeon Choi had a exceptional run of five straight birdies around the turn as she too fired a 70 to join Creamer, Momoko Ueda (69) and Juli Inkster (73) on five under.

Scotland's Catriona Matthew is normally four off the pace after an erratic 73 left her in a tie for eighth with Suzann Pettersen.

Defending champion Ai Miyazato, who recovered from a six-shot deficit to win this tournament last year, might have to pull out some magic again in the event that she hopes to repeat the feat.

After posting a three-over 75 on Thursday, Miyazato got back to an even-par 144 with a three-under 69, however still found herself 8 shots off the pace.

First, they all launch with good basics: Grip, Aim and Setup. Most importantly, the golf swing repeats itself every time. There are players who have success on tour with funny looking swings. It is usually as the swings repeat each time from constant practice. In addition, they have confidence that their swing will work.
The golf swing will be easy however is certainly often complicated by too much thinking. A good the game of golf swing starts with good rhythm. You can't make a good forward swing unless you take your time going back to set up proper rhythm and motion. A golf swing that is usually too fast back, usually has the club and body working against each other and helps create poor shots. The object of the game of golf swing is usually to create speed on the downswing - not the back golf swing. A fast backswing would create bad motion and a hands dominated swing that will be hard to repeat. Take the club away slow for better motion and rhythm. Because the backswing sets up the downswing, we might discuss it first.
A good backswing starts with the arms - not the hands. You don't want to pick the club up at takeaway. You want to draw it away in a one-piece motion. As the club starts back, the left shoulder and hips should turn naturally to allow weight to transfer to the good side. The hands should begin to set at waist high. As the club continues to the top, the shoulders should continue to turn. At the top you are required to have the hands set but not broken down. Overswinging at the top would create negative club speed and inconsistent swings.
Now that we've talked about the backswing, let's talk about the downswing. The object of the downswing is usually to return the clubhead to the golf ball with maximum controllable speed. Just as too fast of a backswing will be no good, too hard of a downswing may also cause bad the game of golf shots. There are many theories on what should begin the downswing. I get that most players who think about pulling with their left arm from the top will create a more consistent swing with all body parts working together. Many players from watching the tour players tend to make an attempt to lead the downswing with the left side, and as a result slide ahead of the ball at impact causing weak slicing shots.
To complete the golf swing you must have a good complete. The finish in the golf golf swing, unlike in baseball, needs to be high, not left. We find most beginners get it more natural to complete lower and left causing topped shots and difficult to get the ball airborne. The clubface needs to stay square for some inches after impact to create proper flight on the golf ball. In addition, in the finish the weight that you transferred to the good side in the backswing now must transfer to the left side. With a good complete your perfect knee should face the target, correct foot up therefore all spikes are visible, and hands high close to your left ear.

Karrie Webb with six-way tie

Former World No 1 Karrie Webb was the among the six who shared the lead after Thursday's first round of the ANZ RACV Ladies Masters in Queensland.
She opened with a 6-under 66 to be tied on top of the leaderboard with fellow Australian Karen Lunn, Spain's Maria Hernandez, Italy's Diana Luna, France's Cassandra Kirkland and Korea's Eun-Hee Ji.
It was a particularly packed leaderboard at Royal Pines Resort for the second event on the 2011 Ladies European Tour program, with seven players a shot off the pace and another 14 a further stroke back.
Lunn carded six birdies and no bogeys in a faultless round, planning to the turn in 32 and picking up another shot on the 10th.
Compatriot Webb as well went out in 32, five under par, but carded two bogeys and three birdies on the back nine.
England's Melissa Reid, second in the season opener in Melbourne last week, continued her awesome early form with a round of 67.
And the 23-year-old might have shared the lead nevertheless for dropping her only shot of the day on the par-four 18th.
97 of the 138-strong field finished level par or much better, yet Scotland's Carly Booth slumped to an 82 to lie dead last.

Westy, Kaymer grouped with Tiger

You might expect the World Nos 1 and 2, Lee Westwood and Martin Kaymer, to be only too delighted to see the back of Tigers Woods.
However you would be dead wrong.
In contrast, the Englishman and the German, two key figures in Europe's Ryder Cup victory over the USA at Celtic Manor last September, are delighted that they have been drawn to play alongside Woods in the first two rounds of this week's Dubai Desert Classic.
And in addition, both have made it clear they want to see the beleaguered former World No first hit back and regain the old form that established him as easily the 21st Century's greatest golfer before his notorious sex scandal seemingly plunged him into a state of self doubt and his game into mediocrity.
He hasn't won since.
In fact he hasn't won in well over a year and his seasonal debut two weeks ago at Torrey Pines, one of his favourite battle grounds where he had made it five wins in five starts with his fabulous US Open triumph in 2009, saw him walk away this time with a closing 75 and in 44th place in his worst launch ever in his professional career.
Westwood and Kaymer, in talking to the media at the Emirates Golf Club ahead of this week's Dubai Desert Classic , both made it clear that golf needs Woods.

Wilson Got a Victory in Phoenix

Mark Wilson won the Waste Management Phoenix Open on Monday after defeating Jason Dufner on the second playoff hole.
Wilson, a Green Bay Packers fan, now has cause for double celebration, after his beloved football team won their fourth Super Bowl title on Sunday night.
It's the 36-year-old's second win on the PGA Tour this year. Not bad for a golfer who prior to his victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii this year was ranked 237th in the world.
The triumph came on the second hole of a playoff with fellow American Jason Dufner, where he sank a eight-foot birdie putt to take the victory.
The match had spilled into a fifth day after lengthy frost delays on they opening two days. Extraordinarily, the exact same thing happened in 2007, the scene of Wilson's first PGA Tour victory, which as well came after a playoff.
Anywhere else, Phil Mickelson finished in a disappointing 29th place after a 71 that included finding the same water hazard on 17 that undid Tommy Gainey. A top-three complete would have seen him unseat Tiger Woods in the world rankings, yet it wasn't to be.

Do You Know How to Clean Golf Balls?

Yet lets say your interest can be patrolling golf game courses, including the water hazards, for lost, forgotten, abandoned balls. At the end of the day, you may end up with a hundred scuffed, muddy balls, some of them marked for identification with felt-tip pens. How do you clean all those?
Cleaning The game of golf Balls the Easy Way
Put them in the dishwasher or washing machine. They shouldn’t damage the machinery. Should this kind of hot-water washing harm any of the balls, they weren’t in good shape to begin with.
Cleaning Really Dirty Golf Balls
Supposing that this doesn’t get the gunk off (balls that have been in water and are partially covered with mold or algae can be tough customers), here are a few more strategies:
* Soak them briefly in a product containing oxalic acid.
* Apply undiluted bleach, ammonia, OR white vinegar (however DONT mix ANY of these chemicals together if you value your life C poison gas will be produced).
* Throw a bunch of them in a concrete mixer along with crushed peanut or almond shells and let them spin around for a while.
* Put them in a container with water and throw in a couple of denture cleaning tablets.
As for getting ink off of them, make use of nail polish remover.

Electric Golf cart Winter Storage Guides

Here’s some tips to follow for the proper store of your electric golf cart during winter season:
First of all you should clean your batteries and ensure that all the cell caps are snugly attached. Then unplug the charger and wash the battery compartment. Launch on one side of the golf cart and spray Battery Neutralizer all over the tops of the batteries.
Check, clean, tighten and treat all of the battery terminal connections. Make sure the cables are tight to the post.
Check the water levels in each cell. Use distilled water to fill and be sure the electrolyte in each battery cell is above the plates. In cold climates, when the golf cart will be left uncharged for several months, leave the water level a little low. This raises the specific gravity of the acid, which will help avoid freezing. A lead acid battery keeps much better in the cold than in the heat, as long as the charge stays up.
A fully charged battery will not freeze until 60 to 70 below zero while a discharged battery can freeze at 20 degrees above zero. As a battery discharges, the acid turns into water by the basic chemical nature of the lead acid battery. The more discharge, the more water and the more likely it is to freeze.
Don't leave your electric golf cart plugged into the charger for extended periods of time. After the charge is done, unplug the charger from the golf cart and from the wall.
Leave the golf cart in Neutral and turn the key off. Either way, scotch the wheels so you can leave the hill brake released. This prevents strain on the cables and the brake shoes can't lock to the drums.
In the event that you are not going away for the winter, you can plug your Charger in for a few hours once a month to insure a full charge is kept. The charger should be unplugged from the car and the wall after charging.
Finalize for winter storage by checking the tire pressures and inflate to 20-25 psi.
Roll down the rain curtains and zip them part way down. In the event that you have to leave the car out in the open, or under an open shed, neatly fold the rain curtain and bring it in the house till springtime. Very cold weather will cause the see through vinyl to become very brittle and a puff of wind will blow it out.

Know What Defines the Best Golf Drivers

Why is it regarded as the most impressive club in your golf bag? Why is it the first club anyone talks about when golf clubs is brought up? Why is it what everyone wants?
The answers are simple - POWER. Its all about the power of the long ball. The golfer who hits the ball the farthest is considered the man of the moment, and everyone wants to be that man. I suppose its an ego thing.
This mind match is played among all golfers form rookie to professional. It is on of the main driving forces behind the design of today’s best golf drivers. The manufacturers are continually coming up with newer and better drivers that go further and straighter than the competition. They come in all shapes and sizes with the bigger is better attitude coming out on top.
A lot of the big oversized driver club are created to the largest legal size specifications under PGA rules and regulations. Combine that with the ultra thin super springy club faces. What you get is a kind of loaded canon. These clubs launch the golf balls high in the air and genuinely long. We must emphasize really LONG.
A lot of the club makers have even taken the grooves off the clubfaces around the sweet spot areas. This is to reduce spin and allow the ball more distance with less resistance. What this moreover causes is less accuracy off the tee. Nevertheless most golfers are ready to give up a little accuracy for more distance.
Now in the event that you throw in the new technology in today’s golf shafts it gets a little crazy. With all the different types of graphite, the raised and lowered flex and kick points, and now even tipping it almost seems out of control.
Wow, that’s getting crazy. There is such a large amount of possible grip, shaft, and club head combinations it can be confusing to the average golfer. However not to worry, there are a ton of quality resources out there to get you fitted properly.

Golf caddy Talk

In golf, a caddy is the person who carries a player's bag, and gives useful suggestions and moral support. A good golf caddy is aware of the troubles and obstacles of the golf course being played, as well as the best technique in playing it. This includes knowing overall yardage, pin placements and club selection.
Duties
The main duty of a caddie is to carry the player's bag and find the player's golf ball. Other common duties include:
cleaning clubs and golf balls
raking bunkers and sand traps
acquiring yardages
replacing/repairing divots (chunks of the fairway)
tending and removing the flagstick
making small talk
Other duties which caddies are required to do supposing that experienced enough are:
reading greens
helping with club choosing
keeping track of any "salts" made by the golfer
Caddies must be alert all of the time. Any penalty caused by the golf caddie is added on to his/her golfers score. The caddie should be aware of his surroundings at all times, particularly when players are hitting. Standing in other golfers lines of putting or lines of sight while they are hitting a ball is strongly discouraged. Moreover, the caddy is expected to know the rules and point out any rule-breaking on the part of the golf player, such as knowing the maximum amount of clubs a player is permitted to carry. A caddy on the PGA Tour, Miles Byrne, became famous when he forgot to count the clubs in Ian Woosnam's bag (only 14 authorized) before the final round of the British Open. His mistake cost Woosnam two strokes and probably the championship.

How to Avoid Hazards

For many golf players, facing barriers like sand and water can be a knee-knocking experience. Even when trying to avoid hazards, it often seems as if one's ball is always sucked directly into them. All hazards can be avoided, though, in case the shot is planned properly.
1 Focus on a target area. Pick an area where you want the golf ball to land. Don't try to just get it over the water or over the sand. Suppose the golf ball in an area where you will be comfortable hitting it. In case you have confidence in the shot you are going to hit, then the hazard will not present as big of a problem. Be relaxed and confident in your shots.
Step 2 Consider the risk levels of your different shot possibilities. Decide in case you are taking too large of a risk to try to go over a hazard. Don't expect yourself to somehow be able to power your ball over a hazard when such a shot is out of your range. In the event that you must lay up, be content with the shot and lay up. At the same time, put the golf ball in an area that will allow for an effective next shot. Focus on the risk. Then execute the smart shot.
Step 3 Focus on playing conditions. Be sure to check the wind and temperature, thus you consider the proper distance that you will should hit the ball. Both wind and heat or cold can lead to different distances on shots, so compensating for the weather is an important consideration. Check the wind before every shot, particularly supposing that attempting shots over or around hazards.
Step 4 Calm your body. Take a few deep breaths, and focus on the shot. Try to block out the hazard, and just view your target area. Focusing on the target area will help you focus on your swing and the shot you should make.

Fairway Bunker Clubs Choosing Tips

Of all the golf shots in the world, the one I personally hate the most is the fairway bunker shot. I'm not entirely sure why I hate this shot so much, but I do.
Well, that's not true...I remember exactly why I hate this shot so much. It's because they make me anxious. They always have, and I suspect they always will. Even so, there are a few tips that have helped me get out of these nightmares and perhaps they can help you too.
If you are anything at all like me, the first problem you're faced with when you land in a fairway bunker is which club to pick. Your first priority in this selection is to make certain you have enough loft to clear the lip of the bunker. Take it from me, it doesn't a bit of good to gaze down the fairway visualizing where you want the golf ball to land in the event that it doesn't clear the lip of the bunker first!
So, is there an easy way to figure out the right trajectory that the golf ball will need to take in order to clear the lip of the bunker?
Actually, there is.
Choose the golf club that you think is going to work. Take this club outside the bunker (remember, you are not permitted to ground your club inside the bunker) and face the target on a line that is behind where your ball is. Put the club on the ground and "gently" stand on the club face with the shaft pointing in the direction of the target.
As you press your foot down on the clubface, the shaft will begin to come up at an angle. Take a look at this angle and compare it to the lip of the bunker. Supposing that the angle is above the lip, you have the excellent club and should be able to clear the bunker lip. Nevertheless, in the event that the shaft angle is below the lip of the bunker, chances are you won't make it out of the bunker and you should take one or more club to increase the trajectory path.
Bear in mind (and I consider I don't require to say this) it's better to come up short of the green than it is to bury your golf ball in the sandy lip of the bunker.
Two things to keep in mind as well when playing out of a fairway bunker are: Don't wiggle your feet too deep into the sand. This will only make you lower than the ball and you might hit the ball fat. Second, don't try to hit the golf ball too hard or to "scoop" it out. Just take a normal swing, the same swing you would make if you were in the fairway. Trying to "blast" it out will almost always end up in a poor shot.
But, of course, the best advice to playing fairway bunkers is to stay out of them altogether! That's what I try to do.

G-Mac's flying start

Graeme McDowell made a astounding start with his new Srixon and Cleveland equipment in the US Tour's seasonal opener in Hawaii - the Hyundai Tournament of Champions.

The Ryder Cup leading man shot a beautiful final round course record equalling 11-under 62 to end in third place - just one shot away from securing a place in a play-off.

McDowell produced his fantastic 23-under score using his new Srixon ZTX iron set, Cleveland wedges and the new Srixon Z-STAR XV ball, which will be officially launched at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando at the end of this month.

The Ulsterman posted an impressive range of stats for the week with the highlight being his tied first place ranking for greens in regulation, using his new Srixon ZTX irons.

He hit 94% of greens in reg in round one, 89 in rounds two and three and 94 again in his scintillating closing 62.

This week's finish saw him rise to No. 5 in the world rankings.

"I'm just over the moon with the way I played this week, Srixon are making some wonderful gear. The Z-Star XV ball is amazing and my new ZTX irons are attractive,"McDowell said.

G-Mac has been under intense scrutiny because of his equipment change from his previous company, which he used to win the U.S. Open last year.

McDowell said that he has just proven to the people that he was not innocent enough to convert to inferior golf clubs. He was very confident in Srixon and all he has done was gone from one great company to another.

World number 32 Schwartzel

Defending champion Charl Schwartzel is wanting to replicate his form from last year's Joburg Open when the 2011 edition gets under way at the Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club.

The world number 32 is the highest-ranked golfer in the field this week at what is the last of the four co-sanctioned European and Sunshine Tour events in South Africa.

Schwartzel has intended to enjoy the early season in his home country during recent years, and apart from the 2007 Alfred Dunhill Championship - where he missed the cut - he has rarely finished outside the top 30.

Twelve months ago he recorded rounds of 63, 68, 64 and 66 to finally win by six shots on 23 under par, scores he would love to match this year.

His record in the three events of the season so far have been two fourth-place finishes as well as a runners-up spot and he added: "The good finishes I've had despite (his problems with his swing), well, I would put that down to experience and choosing a way to put a score on the board.

This week's event, the richest of the four in South Africa with a bonus total of 1.3million euros (1.08million), will be played over two courses on the first two days - the rounds are divided between the East and West courses, before the cut is made and the final two rounds are played on the East course.

Northern Ireland's Darren Clarke, who is enjoying a nice start to the year after ending in 26th place at last week's Africa Open, is also relishing playing on a course he enjoys.

Schwartzel shows that he is really like that golf course and he thinks last year it's one of his favourites in South Africa.

LPGA Tour's Lincicome enters men's tournament

Brittany Lincicome may play in a men's competition next week as part of her preparations for the LPGA Tour season.
The long-hitting Lincicome, a three-time winner on the LPGA Tour, has entered the NGA Hooters Tour's Bridgestone Winter Series event at Deer Island Golf Club.
Lincicome will be the first current LPGA Tour golfer to play in a Winter Series tournament.
"(The LPGA Tour) finished in December, and I have to keep playing to get ready for next season," Lincicome said Friday. "This will be my seventh year on the LPGA Tour and I still get stressed when I tee off (in the LPGA season-opening event) in Thailand. This tournament is close to home and has a lot of battle in it. I think it's a great way for me to get some of the nerves out before our season starts off."
Brittany Grace Lincicome (born September 19, 1985) is an American professional golf player playing on the LPGA Tour. She currently resides in Seminole, Florida.
Lincicome is one of the longest drivers in women's golf. In her novice year, 2005, she led the LPGA in driving distance with an average of 270.3 yards (247.2 m). In 2006, her driving average increased to 278.6 yards (254.8 m), second among all LPGA golfers.

Golf and Kids

If you think your kid could be the next Vijay Singh or that they have the predisposition for the game of golf, you have to learn how to best teach them the match without crowding their plate with development expectations. As well, learn that they are ready and ready to learn and how to learn if you child has what it takes to become a quality golfer in the world of golf.

Golf is an extremely detailed sport, and even those who are naturals at the sport must spend years and years exercising before they head to the professional circuit. As of this, the earlier you start your child learning the match, the better chance you have of developing an avid golfer. Once a child is walking well independently and able to hold a child-sized golf club, he or she is probably ready for the first introduction to the sport.

This can happen when the kid is as young as two or three years old. Preschool children will not be ready to play golf as a game, but they can be given small putters and practice swinging the golf club correctly. Children at this age learn almost everything through imitation. The best way to teach them proper swinging and putting techniques is to demonstrate, and then have them imitate the motions. But use caution that you do not make this tedious for the child. These imitation sessions need to be short and fun. Try having the child hit a small balloon. Not only will this be fun, but the child will also have success in hitting the balloon, which will keep the frustration at bay.

The driving range is a good place to start since there is not a specific target they must reach, so the child is less likely to get frustrated. After the child demonstrates talent on the driving range, you can head to the course. By this point you should be able to tell whether or not your child is going to share your love for the game of golf. The most important element to remember is that not all children like the same things that parents like. Do not push your child into the match of golf if it is not their thing as they will resent you forever for doing so. Alternatively, give them experience and opportunity and allow them to reach their own conclusions about golf and any other chance that you present in their path.

Playing Golf in the Rain

Playing golf in the rain might be inevitable particularly during golf competitions and other golfing events in case the situation calls for golfers to finish their game. For players to do well when playing golf in the rain, they have to come prepared.
The first thing golf players need to do is to ensure that they are wearing the right golf rain clothes so as not to get wet.
A waterproof suit, waterproof shoes, hats, umbrella, rain hood and gloves are some of the essential gear golfers need. Staying dry is important because it helps the player keep his focus on the game and not on changing his wet clothes and getting a hot shower after the match. The golfers equipment should also be covered properly so will stay dry and will perform well during the entire game or match.
To make sure that one plays well even under the rain, the player should take control of the game and not be forced to hurry his hits. He should stay calm and should find out how the rain affects his game. The golf ball and the club will work differently for water and wind from the rain will affect their movement. The player should take his time to wipe off his club and make certain to swing through to a full finish. The course will also behave differently when players stand on it and golf balls will bounce differently on the field.
The players overall status during a game will also make a big difference. Simply forcing a smile and keeping a positive attitude when playing will certainly affect ones ability to play golf.

Planning For a Good Golf Travel

How Much Will It Cost? Across the U.S. and around the world you'll find golf resorts and hotels with golf driving range which offer 'stay & play' golf packages. And, in increasing numbers, normal hotels are cooperating with area courses to offer cheaper 'stay & play' packages also. Golf packages will save you money with cheaper rates for 'a room plus greens fees' than you would pay if you purchased these services individually. But some packages feature special terms such as particular arrival/departure dates, quoted rates may be per person or for two or more, etc., so check out the details carefully.

How Many People Are There
Will your group be golfers only, golfers and non-golfers, family, or are you a 'single' golfer? And what about skill levels? Where you go, where you stay, and where you play can make a big difference as to if your trip is a 'hole-in-one' or a 'bogey'.

What Type of Trip
Whatever kind of vacation you and your friend(s) want to take, whether it's to a busy city, rustic mountain area, busy beach resort, a town steeped in colonial history, a quiet countryside or a combination of these, there are numerous terrific golf resorts available and in all price ranges. If you'll be accompanied by non-golfers, you'll want to ensure that there are things for them to do while you're on the course.

How Is Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow Golf Ball

Yellow golf balls are balls you hit at your local driving range or low quality golf balls. No self-respecting golfer would ever use a yellow golf ball on the driving range. Right?
That’s all about to change with the new version of the popular Srixon Z-STAR Tour Yellow golf balls. Yep, that is right a tour caliber premium yellow golf ball!
At the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show, Srixon quietly announced the Z-STAR and Z-STARx Tour Yellow golf balls and I have to say I was quite suspicious about why anyone would want to play a yellow golf ball.
Yellow Ball
Have you ever attempted to path a golf ball on a clear and sunny day? Even with sunglasses on, you can easily lose the golf ball in the air.
To solve this problem, Srixon did a lot of testing backed by scientific data that has proven, that yellow is the most visible color in the visual spectrum and psychology has linked green with calming and stress relief. Take the two findings and you have the Srixon Z-STAR and Z-STARx Tour Yellow golf balls.
Tour Yellow is a unique combination of yellow and green to formulate the next generations of tour golf balls. The Tour Yellow balls has been played by some of Cleveland Golf Tour Staff like Vijay Singh and Jim Furyk. It will be interesting to see what the reaction will be on Tour by fellow rivals and the fans.
Z-STAR
The Z-STAR is a high-performance multilayered ball with low compression and particularly soft feel. This is the softer of the two Z-STAR balls which is great around the greens and distance control with your golf putter. The only point different is the color!
The Z-STAR Tour Yellow may turn heads on the course and make it easier to find the golf ball, but I am curious to see if it will make me more comfortable?
I am willing to try the Srixon Z-STAR Tour Yellow. What about you?

More wilderness hazards for world's best

The National Course at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club has been transformed to present more of a challenge for the world's best golfers when the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship tees off next month.

The course, which directs the opening ceremony of the European Tour's Desert Swing, has seen changess implemented on five holes ahead of the tournament, which starts on January 20.

The course remains at 7,440 yards, but new sand traps on holes 2, 5, 6, 13 and 17 will test the likes of Lee Westwood, Phil Mickelson, Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizen and Martin Kaymer, who are all confirmed for the event, attracted, no doubt, by the $2.7 million prize purse - the biggest on offer on the Desert Swing.

The new hazards are described as "subtle and effective", with many bunkers pushed up closer to the greens. Rather than deepening the traps, organisers have instead steepened the faces and added definition to the lips so as to provide a strategic challenge.

"I think the golfers will enjoy the challenge of analysing the course changes and adapting their games," said Faisal Al Shaikh, Events Manager for Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA).

With six of the world's top 10 players and all four major winners from the 2010 scheduled to attend the event, the 2011 edition of the tournament looks set to be the biggest yet, and the ADTA has arranged for a significantly expanded Championship Village with more attractions, hotels, cafes and tournaments.

And why not?

This golfer has a tendency to be over-analytical. The cast iron golf club is made of cast iron and the majority of the weight of the golf club is around the perimeter. If you are not sure if you want to start golf: Suggest to your spouse that you would like to go and ride (or walk for the exercise) nine-holes of golf with your spouse. This is where more practice is necessary so that you can work at smoothing out the rough edges until you become comfortably fluid in your motions. After a crash course, he hit the links and discovered the real world. One of the most famous ones that have been designed by Jack Nicklaus is the Cabo Del Sol. This book is a gold mine of instruction on every phase of the game. The top 8 golf drivers for 2010 include the following options: Adams Speedline, Callaway Diablo Edge, Callaway FT-IZ, Cleveland Launcher DST, Cobra ZL, Mizuno MP 630, TaylorMade R9 and Titleist 90. But you need to bear in mind that when you play golf ( or any sport ) you need to be physically fit for it. Bad or difficult weather can make any shot more difficult. This immediately creates tension throughout the body - at best slowing muscles and reducing club head speed, at worst causing you to snatch the club back and take the swing out of the ideal swing plane. After all, the true source of power and consistency comes from the body and not the hands. This is the one that is farthest away from the target: right shoulder for right-handed golfers, left shoulder for left-handed golfers. It makes complete sense that these balls are found less often in water or lost in the woods. He then promptly told the class to forget that rule for the duration of the 10 week course for the sake of learning. Conversely, if you are not so strong, it would be best to use a more flexible shaft with a lighter swing weight. It is limiting and many times it only fulfills your taste for golf rather than help you practice. Fairway woods are good clubs off the tee or from the fairway, their smaller heads and greater lofts help get the ball up into the air. Roberto Luongo finished the game with 36 saves. With the weight trainer in the middle you can work on your tempo. Then dazzle her with your soaring wedge that backs up to six feet. These stands are triggered when you place the bag on the ground, when you place the bag on the ground the stands come forward and you are able to rest your bag on the stands. If you are a woman who likes the beach, the sun, relaxing, and using your brain and body in the game of golf, you might want to consider going to American golf schools. Boring repetition is based upon a foundation of goal-less and mindless duplication. Understanding Links Golf. For someone that loves to entertain, a professional golf career in event planning would be the right fit. SERIES HISTORY Baltimore leads the all-time series with Cincinnati, 13-10, but was a 27-20 road loser when the teams met in Week 1. Improve Your Putting With Indoor Golf Practice. Do this with both hands and take an average. He said that he was 16 under for three full rounds and he was satisfied about that. In college, they were All-American and were so good, they quit their junior year to join the PGA Tour. A notable golf tool is the golf trolley, which offers benefits both to the improvement of game play and the positive overall effects to health. Sounds easy enough, but too many golfers grip the club too hard and try to 'hit' at the ball, rather than swing through it. Such soothing ambience will help you concentrate on every put and swing.
